The Embassy of Algeria in Gaborone, Botswana, today commemorated the 64th Anniversary of Independence and Youth Day under the slogan: "Independence is a Trust for Future Generations."

On this solemn occasion, the national flag was raised while the national anthem was played, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha and the observance of a minute of silence in tribute to the pure souls of Algeria's glorious martyrs.

The ceremony continued with a commemorative address highlighting the heroic struggle of the Algerian people and the immense sacrifices they made to reclaim their freedom, dignity, and national sovereignty.
