President of the Republic inaugurates a major strategic project and reaffirms Algeria’s ability to meet major challenges

The President of the Republic stated, during the inauguration ceremony of this strategic project, that Algeria is today marking a decisive milestone in the course of its major national achievements, through the realization of a project that had long been regarded as a distant ambition, before becoming a tangible reality thanks to national determination and a spirit of challenge inspired by the sacrifices of past generations and the nation’s revered martyrs.

The President emphasized that this achievement represents a concrete expression of fidelity to the martyrs’ legacy, which constitutes a moral asset capable of securing victory in the battle for development and the construction of a strong national economy. He noted that the project was completed within a record timeframe of no more than twenty months, reflecting the scale of the efforts made in light of the complexity and nature of the works involved.

He added that the project embodies the image of an “Algeria of challenges,” relying on its own capabilities in terms of funding, human resources and national expertise, within the framework of fruitful cooperation with Chinese partners.

The President of the Republic further stressed that this achievement forms part of a comprehensive strategic vision aimed at enhancing the value of natural resources and strengthening connectivity between the Greater South and the rest of the country. He pointed out that the inauguration of this mining line represents the first phase of a structuring national project expected to drive economic and developmental transformation in the southern regions, while supporting the exploitation of the Gara Djebilet deposit, the launch of other mining projects, and the development of related infrastructure.

He also affirmed that all necessary resources were mobilized to achieve the set objectives, within a national orientation focused on economic diversification and the gradual reduction of dependence on hydrocarbons, relying on national wealth and Algerian expertise.

In conclusion, the President of the Republic expressed his sincere appreciation to all executives, workers and professionals who contributed to the completion of this project under challenging conditions, and extended his thanks to the Chinese partners for their role in this major national achievement.
