Strengthening Cooperation between Algeria and the GGGI

On January 20, 2026, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Lounès Magramane, received Mr. Sanghyup Kim, Executive Director of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), during his working visit to Algeria.
Discussions focused on prospects for cooperation in the fields of environment, sustainable development and energy transition, following Algeria’s accession to the GGGI in August 2025, and concluded with the signing of the Headquarters Agreement, paving the way for the opening of a GGGI office in Algeria.
