The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a congratulatory message from the President of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Xi Jinping, on the occasion of the successful launch of the AlSat-3 satellite. The full text reads:

“His Excellency Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune,
President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria,

Excellency,

I am pleased to extend to you, on behalf of the Chinese government and people, as well as personally, my warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Government of Algeria and its people on the successful launch of the AlSat-3 satellite.

The AlSat-3 satellite project represents a new successful cooperation between the Chinese and Algerian sides in the field of space, following the AlSat-1 project, and is an important realization of the comprehensive strategic relations between our two countries.

The Chinese side is ready to work with the Algerian side to deepen cooperation in the space sector and to make joint efforts to advance science and technology, contributing to the economic and social development of both countries.

Algeria is an important strategic partner of China in Western Asia and North Africa, and the two countries share a deep historical friendship.
