The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sofiane Chaib Receives the Spanish Ambassador to Strengthen Consular Cooperation

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, received yesterday 10 febrary 2026, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Algeria, Mr. Ramiro Fernández Bachiller.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways and means to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the consular field, in order to respond to emerging demands and the expectations of our community residing in Spain.

Both parties also emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation to further consolidate consular relations, improve the quality of services provided, and simplify administrative procedures, reflecting the level of relations between the two countries.
